I had a chance to visit Las Colinas Pharmacy this past weekend, and they ARE wonderful. I just emailed a friend in the Dallas area about them, and realized, whoops, I hadn't sent you my blog about them.
Are they just like Peoples' Pharmacy in Austin. Yes! They carried all my favorite supplements and herbals like Medi-Herb and Pure Encapsulations. In fact, I bought Nordic Naturals Arctic cod liver oil while there, along with magnesium, potassium and St.John's Wort.
I found each employee there, from the pharmacists to the front counter folks, to be service oriented, very nice, and with a real attention to detail. If you live in the Dallas area, they are worth a visit! If you are sick and in the Dallas area, they are worth a consultation.

Wholistic Pharmacy, Irving, Texas
Ya'll, every single time I go anywhere, I try to find the best natural food store in the area, just in case I need some supplement. (as most of you know by now, I am allergic to tons of pharmacueticals and use predominately herbals and supplements instead.)
Well, lo and behold, look what I stumbled upon when checking out Irving (where Flylady's party is going to be tommorrow.) It looks exactly like a Peoples' pharmacy as found in Austin. If you are in the Dallas, Fort Worth area, you might want to give them a try. Believe me, I will be checking them out this weekend while I am there and I will let you know what I find ;-) Here is the information I found on them!

Jim Hrncir, R.Ph.
Jim was one of the first pharmacists in the country to develop and formulate Natural Hormone Replacement compounds. He has developed numerous nutritional, and dermatological compounds. Private consultations, radio and TV guest appearances, seminars and speaking engagements also keep Jim busy. Featured on the Dr. Phil Show as an expert in 'Bio-Identical" hormone therapy, Jim has become nationally recognized.

Jim is a member of PCCA (Professional Compounding Centers of America), National Association of Consultant Pharmacists, Texas Pharmaceutical Association, International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists and the National Association of Community Pharmacists.

Dennis Burke, R.Ph.
Dennis has been practicing pharmacy for over 20 years. A 1981 graduate of St. Louis College of Pharmacy, Dennis joined the staff at Las Colinas Pharmacy in 1998.
Dennis is a member of Texas Pharmaceutical Association, National Association of Consultant Pharmacists and the National Association of Health System Pharmacists.
He has received extensive continuing education in the areas of Infectious Disease, Pain Management, Veterinary Medicine, Natural Hormones, Sterile Compounding, Weight Management, Osteoporosis Management, Cholesterol Management, Natural Medicine including botanical medicines (herbals) and nutritional supplements.
Dennis has received Wellness Center training including in-store lab testing for cholesterol, body composition, and bone density testing.
He serves as Adjunct Professor of Pharmacy Practice for Texas Tech College of Pharmacy and the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy.
Dennis lives in Fort Worth with his sons Andy and Aaron.

Karen Moody, Pharm.D.
Karen is a graduate of the University of Texas where she received both a BA in Biology and a Doctorate in Pharmacy.
Prior to joining the Las Colinas Pharmacy team, she received training in the areas of oncology, psychiatry, compounding, cosmetic formulations and internal medicine.
Karen has been featured in USA Today as well as interviewed by local news stations about various pharmacy related issues.
In addition, she has attended educational seminars in areas specializing in Bio-identical Hormone Replacement, Herbal Medications, Nutritional Supplementation, Compounding, and Immunizations.
Karen is an adjunct faculty member with Texas Tech University Health Science Center and the University of Texas at Austin where she teaches incoming pharmacy students about compounding, community pharmacy, and natural medicines.
Karen is also a member of the Texas Pharmacy Association, the Texas Ex-Student association, and the Longhorn Foundation. She has given multiple seminars on Natural/Bio-identical Hormone Replacement to patients and doctors around the Dallas-Fort Worth area and is available for consultation at any time.
Karen resides in Flower Mound with her husband, Scott and dog, Abigail.
